Hello family. This is Omar Calvillo with this week's wrong to strong two minute devotional. Today we're looking at a moment in Peter's life that reminds us of God's grace, restoration and purpose. Our scripture for today is gonna be Luke 22 verses 31 through 32. Simon Simon, Satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat, but I have prayed for you. Simon, that your faith may not fail, and when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers. Jesus gave Peter a heavy warning. Satan wanted to sift him like wheat. That's powerful Imagery. Sifting meant shaking wheat violently. To separate the good from the useless. In the same way the enemy wants to shake our lives, expose our weaknesses, and make us feel like failures. Peter did stumble. He denied Jesus three times. His courage collapsed. For a moment, his faith looked like it had failed. But notice what Jesus said. I have prayed for you, and when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers. Jesus didn't say if you return. He said,"when." Jesus knew Peter's failure wasn't final, he knew that restoration was already part of the plan and even more, Jesus had a mission for Peter on the other side to strengthen others. That's grace. That's hope. That's the gospel romans 8 34 reminds us that Jesus is still interceding for us today. Christ Jesus, who died more than that, who was raised to life, is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Just like he prayed for Peter, he prays for you. Proverbs 24:16 tells us though the righteous fall, seven times, they rise again. Falling isn't the end. Rising is part of walking with God. So how do we see this in our own lives? Don't let failure define you like Peter. You may fall, but that doesn't mean your faith is finished. God's grace is bigger than your weakness. Turn back quickly. Peter wept bitterly after denying Christ, but he didn't stay down. He came back to Jesus and Jesus restored him. When you stumble, confess, repent. Return to him, strengthen others. Your story, your scars, your comeback can become someone else's encouragement. Just like Peter's testimony fueled the early church, your testimony can lift up a friend, a brother, or even spark a movement. Let us pray. Lord, thank you that even when I stumble, you are praying for me. Thank you that my failures don't have the final word. Your grace does. Help me to rise again, to return quickly, and to use my story to strengthen others. Make me a vessel of hope and restoration just like Peter, in Jesus' name, amen. Family. Remember this, failure is not final and restoration always leads to mission. Just as Jesus restored Peter and used them to strengthen the early church, he wants to use your story today, so don't stay down, rise up, return, and strengthen your brothers. My name is Omar Calvillo and I am wrong to strong.
