From Wrong To Strong
Week #38 - 2-Minute Devotional w/ Omar Calvillo
In this 2-Minute Devotional, we discuss how the name of Jesus has always stirred division, not due to cruelty, but because of His unwavering Truth. Referencing scriptures from John and Matthew, we explain how Jesus' claim as the Son of God demands a response that often divides, even among families. Despite this division, Jesus' Truth Saves and stands firm against opposition.

Hello everyone. Welcome to From Wrong to Strong Two Minute Devotional. Today we're reminded that the name of Jesus has always stirred division. Not because he is cruel, but because He is Truth. John 7:43 says, thus the people were divided because of Jesus. From the very beginning, Jesus forced people to make a choice. He didn't present himself as just another prophet teacher or a good man. He claimed to be the son of God, the Messiah, and the only way to the Father that truth demands a response either surrender or rejection. Jesus said in Matthew 10:34-36. Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. What did he mean? Not that he came to cause chaos, but that his truth would divide even families because not everyone will receive him. In John 14 verse six, he declares I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. This exclusivity is why his name still brings division today. The world wants many paths to God. Jesus says, there is only one. The world says, live your truth. Jesus says, I am the truth. The world says, do what feels good. Jesus says, deny yourself. Take up your cross and follow me. This is why people either fall at his feet in worship or turn away offended. His name still divides, but it also still saves. Don't be discouraged if following Christ brings division and your family friendships or workplace. Jesus already told us this would happen, but he also promised Blessed are you. When people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Matthew 5:11. Stand firm division isn't failure. It's confirmation that the truth of Christ is cutting through the darkness. Maybe today you're on the fence. You feel the tension in your heart. When you hear the name of Jesus, let me tell you, there's no middle ground. You either accept Him or reject Him, but the good news is this, if you confess him as Lord, he will forgive you. Heal you and give you eternal life. If you've been wrestling with this, don't wait another day. Choose Jesus now. Send us a message. We want to pray with you, encourage you and walk this journey alongside of you here at from wrong to strong ministries. We are unashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ because we know it is the power of God that brings salvation. Share this with someone who needs encouragement today. My name is Omar Calvillo, and I am wrong too strong.
