From Wrong To Strong
Born in the heart of Chicago, this podcast brings you raw, unfiltered stories of transformation from people who’ve lived through real darkness — former gang members, ex-inmates, survivors of trauma, police officers, chaplains, and community voices.
These conversations carry the grit of Chicago’s streets and the grace of a God who still heals and restores. Every episode is honest, emotional, and rooted in the truth that no life is beyond redemption.
If you want stories that challenge you, strengthen your faith, and remind you that God can turn any life from wrong to strong — you’re in the right place.
Real Chicago. Real stories. Real redemption.

Week #32 - 2-Minute Devotional w/ Julio Aviles
Julio Aviles shares a 2-minute devotional based on Revelations 12:11, reflecting on how he overcame his struggles not through his own strength but through the sacrifice of Jesus. He recounts how Jesus’ blood broke the chains of sin, addiction, and shame in his life. Julio emphasizes the power of sharing his testimony, which reminds the enemy of his defeat and underscores his commitment to lay down his life for Jesus. He concludes by affirming that his victory is secured through Jesus, not by his own merit.

Welcome to the Wrong to Strong two Minute Devotional. Each week we're blessed to have a new guest share a powerful scripture and a word of encouragement to ignite your spirit and fuel your journey of faith. Let these messages inspire and strengthen you as you grow closer to God, stay strong, keep the faith, and let's grow together. We're on a mission from God, from darkness to light and from wrong to strong. My name is Julio Aviles, and this is From Wrong 2 Strong 2-Minute Devotional Revelations 12:11 says, and they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they love, not their lives, even unto death. When I read this verse, I see my own story written in it. I didn't win my battles because of my strength. I won because of what Jesus already did for me. His blood broke every chain and shut the mouth of the enemy, and erased my past. The devil used to have a grip on me through sin. Addiction and shame. By now, I tell my story without fear. My testimony is proof that Jesus saves, delivers and restores. Every time I speak it, I'm reminding the enemy that he's been defeated, and this verse reminds me, my life is not my own. I'm willing to lay it down for Jesus, no matter the cost, comfort, safety and people's opinions don't matter compared to being faithful to him. The victory is already mine, not because of who I am, but because of who he is. I'm Julio Aviles, and I'm From Wrong To Strong
